Them Greeks is a Short Film By Artists Around the World. Through my current company Incessant Rain Animation Studios, I've been working on this project to texture some of the characters for the film.
Its such a good opportunity to be working with them.

Plot Outline
In the middle of an American metropolis, Norman, an antisocial fellow, who despises noise and disorder, clashes with a bunch of crazy Greeks.

After spending 7 years in Singapore, I've moved back to my home country. There had been ups and downs during the last 7 years. It has been a pleasure to spend time with friends and colleagues. I was lucky to have worked in Blackmagic Design immediately after my 3 years Diploma course at Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts. I owe alot of my 3D and VFX knowledge to colleagues at BMD.

I'm working at an animation studio called Incessant Rain Animation Studio here in Kathmandu. Its a good thing that I can still use my acquired abilities at this new company. I hope to specialize more in an area of 3D namely Modeling and Texturing. Also, if things goes well, I'd do Bachelor's in Fine Arts.

And my better half, Brikshya Gurung, is now officially a Doctor. She is doing her internship in Bangladesh at Combined Military Hospital.

Drawing Sold at OIC Portrait Day

Went to the portrait day after months of drawing break.
I managed to sell one drawing where i just drew different views of the dog.
It was a charcoal drawing.

Still rusty at portrait though.

Custom bokeh effects Test with my D80. I think it was quite interesting.

I had gone back to Nepal for the last three weeks. Therefore, I wasnt able to update much with all the visiting and meeting friends and relatives. I'll try to get back to updating this blog regularly.

I'd been to portrait day once. This is my second time participation.
It was quite motivating to have a group of people coming together to draw.
Here's what I achieved on the day.

This is a portrait where I wanted the red sari to be the main focus. Therefore, made an abstract background with emphasis on colors. The sketch itself is nowhere near the photograph.

I got myself to do a watercolor painting yesterday. Here's the final painting.

Learning my way towards zbrush sculpting. A skull sculpt for a start. It's not so detailed but I worked on the proportion using just a polysphere.

New year with a photo of the new moon. used a 200mm on my d80. It was not an easy task. I'd certainly have liked some detail in the sky but oh well, still there enough detail on the moon itself. ;)

I've always wanted to keep track of my 2D and 3D art practices to improve myself as an artist. It has been difficult to do it just verbally, so, I've decided to document it here. Finally, I've gathered the courage to create this blog with a lot of failed tries before.
I've started a blog many times but never managed to update them with even a single post. so, this is the first post ever made and a progress, definitely, towards a change.

This will be a place for me to post my studies after devouring through the vast knowledge of art; be it drawing, painting or 3D graphics.
